Data Deletion

How to delete a single item or your whole account, exactly what goes, the two things we are required to keep, and what deletion cannot reach.

Updated July 2026

Deletion here means deletion, not hiding. This page says what that covers, what it cannot cover, and the only two categories of record that outlive an account, so you can decide with the full picture rather than discover the exceptions afterwards.

Deleting individual content

Media, projects and profile content can be deleted from inside the product, one item at a time, without contacting anyone. Deleting an item removes the item and the derivatives generated from it.

Deleting a source does not retroactively unpick work you have already built from it. A clip removed from your library does not disappear from a cut you already exported, and a persona you delete does not remove the images it produced. Those are separate items and you delete them separately.

Deleting your account

You can close your account from Settings or by contacting support. We do not require a reason, we will not make you argue with a retention flow, and we will not offer you a discount to stay.

Closing an account is not reversible. There is no grace period in which we can restore it for you, so treat the confirmation as final, because it is.

Export first

You can export your data before you delete it, and you should. Deletion is not reversible and we cannot reconstruct what we have deleted, so if there is any doubt at all, export and then decide.

The export is a portable copy of your data, not a backup we hold on your behalf. Once it is gone from here, your copy is the copy.

What is deleted

Closing your account removes the following:

  • Your profile, display name, handle and any profile media you uploaded
  • Your generated media and the projects that hold it
  • Your agent memory, in full: deleted rather than merely detached
  • Your preferences and settings
  • Your saved prompts, drafts and unpublished work
  • Your Community posts and comments

Agent memory

Agent memory exists only where you consented to it, and withdrawing that consent deletes it rather than hiding it. You do not have to close your account to do that. Memory can be withdrawn on its own, and the rest of the account carries on.

Deleted memory does not leave a summary behind. If it did, it would not be deleted.

What deletion cannot reach

Two honest limits, neither of which is a loophole we are keeping open.

Anything you published outside Aiora Labs is outside our reach. Content you exported, downloaded, posted to another platform or sent to somebody else is not ours to delete, and we cannot recall it for you.

Where another creator has already interacted with something of yours (quoted it, replied to it, or built on it with attribution), deleting your item removes your item. It does not delete their post.

What we must keep

Two things survive account deletion, and only two. Both are narrow, and neither contains your creative work.

  • Financial records we are legally required to retain for tax and accounting: what was paid, when, and for what
  • Immutable audit records of security-relevant actions, which exist to protect you and other creators and which by design cannot be edited after the fact

Timing and backups

Deletion is processed promptly rather than queued behind a review. Backups, however, age out on their own schedule, so a copy of deleted data may persist in backup storage briefly before it expires in the ordinary course.

We do not restore individual records out of a backup to keep them, and a backup is never used to reinstate something you deleted.

Deleting and money

Closing your account does not refund an unspent credit balance and does not by itself cancel a membership charge already made. If you want a refund considered, ask about it before you close the account. Afterwards there is no account to credit and far less we can see.

Cancelling a membership and deleting an account are separate actions. Cancelling stops the renewal and keeps everything you made; deleting removes it.

Asking us to do it

If you would rather we handled it, contact support and say so. We do not require a reason and we do not charge for it.

Data requests of any other kind (a copy of your data, a correction, a restriction) are covered by the rights section of the Privacy Policy and go to the same place.
