Generation is rarely one prompt. Playground is a node canvas, so an image can feed a video, a result can fan out into variations, and a step you like can be reused instead of retyped. Each node shows its own price, so the cost of a chain is visible before you commit to the whole thing rather than after the third link.

Playground is in beta while the edges around long-running and failed runs are hardened. Every run is quoted before it starts, and if a run fails to produce anything the credits go back automatically.
